In July of 2015, the Milton-Freewater Downtown Alliance and hundreds of local volunteers completed the Gathering Place on the site of the original Dairy Queen near McLoughlin High School.
Paver brick installation at the Gathering Place is now underway. The first batch of engraved bricks were commissioned by the Mac-Hi Class of 1962 and those bricks are in production now.
This community project is both an historical marker and a sign-post for the future. You can be a part of the project by commissioning a brick for engraving. For a donation of $50 per brick you may add your name, memorialize a loved one, or add a brief note to this iconic community space.
Once you select to donate, a box will appear so you may enter what is to be engraved on the brick. There are 12 spaces per line, and 4 lines per brick. We will contact you to verify those engraving instructions.
